Ramdev End Fast

Ramdev targets UPA, asks PM to deliver to nation's expectation

New Delhi, Aug 14 (ANI): Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev on Tuesday criticized Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh-led UPA Government for not meeting the expectations of people of the country.
Terming the ruling Congress Party to be isolated, Baba Ramdev said the UPA Government has lost the trust of the people of this country.
"The people are the real strength of a revolution. This Central Government has lost the confidence of the people Congress is responsible for making the poor poorer," he said.
Baba Ramdev also criticized Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh for not raising his voice on the black money issue.
"Prime Minister, tomorrow is Independence Day. If you don't speak on black money and corruption, then you are as guilty as those who are corrupt," he said.
Baba Ramdev said that his agitation is over, but the movement will continue. He reiterated that he was not having a political agenda.
"We are leaving because we have won and not because we have lost. Our agitation is over, but the movement will continue. We are leaving not because we have lost, but because we have won. We are not beggars, we are asking for the rights of our country. And if we don't get it, we will fight for it," said Baba Ramdev.
"We haven't asked for a separate country, we haven't even asked for a village like the Pandavas. We have just asked for our rights. If we wanted, we could have stopped the Prime Minister from hoisting the flag on Independence Day. The Congress has written its name on the top of the list of corrupt," he added.
He claimed to have the support of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) on the black money issue.
"Mulayam Singh, Mayawati, NCP have supported my campaign against black money. Take these parties out and the government will collapse. If there would have been a vote on black money yesterday in parliament, this government would have to go yesterday itself," he said.
Delhi Police earlier made a fresh appeal to the yoga guru and his supporters to vacate the Ambedekar Stadium citing security concerns ahead of Independence Day.
"We have had talks with Swamiji. We have made arrangements for you (Ramdev and supporters) to move," said Additional CP Devesh Srivastava.
Baba Ramdev, who has been fasting since August 9 against corruption, black money and for 'vyavastha parivartan' (systemic change), had earlier ignored the request of the Delhi Police and spent the night at the capital's Ambedkar Stadium.
The yoga guru had earlier declared that he would take his ongoing protest on black money and corruption to Parliament and vowed to oust Congress in the next Lok Sabha polls.

SIP Mutual Funds: A Complete Guide to the Best Options

What is a SIP? A SIP (Systematic Investment Plan) is a method of investing in mutual funds. Instead of investing a large lump sum all at once, you invest a fixed, smaller amount at regular intervals, such as monthly or quarterly. It's similar to a recurring deposit in a bank. For example, instead of investing a lump sum of ₹10,000, you could invest ₹1,000 every month for ten months. Benefits of a SIP Rupee Cost Averaging: Investing through a SIP helps you navigate market volatility. You buy fewer units when the market price is high and more units when the market price is low. Over time, this averages out the cost of your investment. Power of Compounding: By investing consistently over a long period, the returns on your investments are reinvested, generating further returns. This allows your wealth to grow exponentially over time. Financial Discipline: A SIP encourages a disciplined approach to saving and investing by automatically deducting a fixed amount from your bank accou...

Indian Olympic medalists

MY BEST WISHES Since it first participated in Olympic Games in 1900 at Paris, India has won 26 medals. Of these, 9 are gold (8 in field hockey, 1 in shooting); 6 silver (2 in athletics, 1 in field hockey, 2 in shooting and 1 in wrestling); and 11 bronze. Not much to boast about, really, but in a country that has no real, systematic sporting culture it is stirring to see some of its sons and daughters overcome great odds and succeed against the best in the world. What motivates these champions is awesome passion, immense talent, great mental strength and the burning desire to be the best that you can be. So here are India’s Olympic medal winners, who did the country proud and imparted further credibility to an Olympic motto: ‘The essence lies not in the victory, but also in the struggle’ India will return with its best-ever Olympics medal tally from the London Games. If there is anything missing, it is a gold and that has been somewhat made up by two silver medals out of a ...
