Multiple entry visas for uae

Foreigners who need to visit the UAE more than once in a specific period of time will be granted multiple entry visas, UAE website Emirates 24/7 reported citing Arabic newspaper Al Bayan.

The new decree for visas was issued by Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.

Businessmen, property investors and tourists will all be eligible to apply for the multiple entry visa under the new scheme, the report said.

The new visas can be applied for and issued by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs, as well as the UAE’s Consular offices abroad, the report added.

According to the report, the multiple entry visas is subject to certain conditions for each category as follows:

•    Business visitors will be allowed to enter the UAE more than once during the six months after the visa’s issuance but won’t be allowed to stay for longer than 30 days during each visit.

•    Foreign visitors who own a property in the UAE will be allowed to enter the country several times also during the six months from the date of issuing the visa and will be allowed to stay for as long as the visa is valid.

•    Tourists with multiple entry visas will be allowed to enter the country for several times during the three months from the date of issuance and stay a maximum of 14 days during each visit.

DMK POLITICIAN VEERAPANDI ARUMUGAM PASSES AWAY IN CHENNAI HOSPITAL

Former Minister and senior DMK leader Veerapandi S Arumugam passed away at a hospital in Chennai today. Arumugam was hospitalised some days ago due to breathing difficulties. His end came this morning, sources said. He was born on 26 January 1937 in Pollavari, Salem, and was a strongman of the DMK in that area. He was recently under the Goondas Act and was later let off.
