Fire at firecracker factory in tamilnadu

Yesterday very bad day for sivakasi peoples . Fire at firecracker factory kills 52 in Tamil Nadu.

I am really hurting of this incident.

Not only this year every year same like that. But Government no action then Company no actions.

First we need safety then only we can do any type of work.

So working peoples please care .

Ok now see actually what happen.

Over 300 people were working at the time when fire broke out at the Om Siva Sakthi Crackers factory.

A major fire at a firecracker factory killed at least 52 and injured over 50 others in Tamil Nadu's Sivakasi district, PTI reports say.

The fire broke out when an explosion tore through the fireworks factory.

So powerful was the blast that more than 40 of the 48 sheds in the fireworks unit in Sivakasi, a firecracker manufacturing hub about 480 km from Chennai, were reduced to rubbles in no time.

The flames quickly engulfed the entire Om Shakthi Fireworks factory because a huge amount of raw materials and firecrackers were being readied for the upcoming festival season.

Police said the fire had been brought under control but the exact number of casualties will be known only after the debris was cleared.

The death toll may go up since many of the injured, admitted in hospitals in Madurai, Sivakasi and Sattur, are in a critical condition, they said.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa announced a cash relief of Rs 2 lakh each to the family of those killed in the blaze.

A police official in Virudhunagar district told IANS on telephone that the accident happened around 12.30 pm in one of the biggest factories in the area.

Most of the dead were workers in the factory in the town of Sivakasi, the centre of India's firecracker industry, about 540 km (335 miles) southwest of Chennai.

Normally, 300 workers work in the factory, an official said.

According to reports, only 53 workers are known to have come out of the factory after the fire.

Villagers were seen carrying away the injured in their arms or in cloth sheets in the absence of stretchers.

He said nearly 40 of the 48 sheds in the sprawling warehouse had been destroyed in the blaze.

He said nearly 50 injured people had been taken to hospitals. A medical team was treating those who suffered minor burn injuries.

According to police, the fire from one of the sheds quickly spread to the rest of the factory, thanks to a huge stock of firecrackers being readied for the upcoming festival season.

Police said the exact numbers inside the factory was not known. Normally, 300 workers work in a firecracker factory.

Hours after the tragedy, a local official told journalists that around 100 people were still trapped in the factory premises.

Cracker units allegedly employ inexperienced workers during the Diwali season in order to meet the demand, which in turn results in such accidents.

During the last 12 years, a total of 237 lives have been lost due to accidents in 88 fireworks units located in Sivakasi.

Om Siva Sakthi fireworks is one of the biggest factories in Sivakasi.

SIP Mutual Funds: A Complete Guide to the Best Options

What is a SIP? A SIP (Systematic Investment Plan) is a method of investing in mutual funds. Instead of investing a large lump sum all at once, you invest a fixed, smaller amount at regular intervals, such as monthly or quarterly. It's similar to a recurring deposit in a bank. For example, instead of investing a lump sum of ₹10,000, you could invest ₹1,000 every month for ten months. Benefits of a SIP Rupee Cost Averaging: Investing through a SIP helps you navigate market volatility. You buy fewer units when the market price is high and more units when the market price is low. Over time, this averages out the cost of your investment. Power of Compounding: By investing consistently over a long period, the returns on your investments are reinvested, generating further returns. This allows your wealth to grow exponentially over time. Financial Discipline: A SIP encourages a disciplined approach to saving and investing by automatically deducting a fixed amount from your bank accou...
